Before you start

  • Install Okapi Beat Box.
  • Use headphones or speakers.

Windows installation: Download the customer ZIP from Payhip, extract it, open the Setup file and follow the installation prompts.

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Choose one of the drum kits.

  2. 2

    Click steps for kick, snare, hi-hat and other instruments.

  3. 3

    Play the pattern and adjust it while listening.

  4. 4

    Copy a pattern, then create variations and fills.

  5. 5

    Arrange patterns in Song Mode.

  6. 6

    Save the project or export the finished rhythm as WAV.

Troubleshooting

  • If a button does nothing, complete the earlier steps and make sure the required file or device is selected.
  • For Windows programs, close and reopen the program after connecting a new device.
  • Start with kick and snare, then add hi-hat and fills.

Your files stay on your device unless the app clearly tells you that an upload is required.
